Developing Character In |

Children At Risk |
The problems facing disadvantaged children in
America are constant. All too often
the children of Aslan live broken and damaged lives. Most of our kids grow
up without . . . without stability . . . wiithout dreams . . . without
hope. They are not looking for a
program just to fill their time.
They are searching desperately for love! |
For 29 years, Aslan Youth Ministries has offered
a beacon of hope for urban youth at risk.
Through our approach of “changing the world one child at a time”,
each and every Aslan program and activity is designed to touch body, mind and
spirit! |
It all starts with the love of Christ. The children of Aslan have to learn to
trust in the love that Jesus offers. There are not quick fixes to their
problems, but there are ways to overcome them. |
. |
As these young people learn to see themselves as
loved children of God, their lives are gradually transformed. Hope truly
comes as they learn that there is a reason to dream, because God himself
has given them a future. |
Aslan’s volunteers and staff members strive to
display Jesus’ love to our children by being His hands and feet in their
lives. The time and attention the
kids receive serve as a constant reminder that God cares about them . . .
no matter the circumstances or behavior. |
