Back in December I wrote to you about James*, a seven-year-old
boy in our program. Many of you will remember that James was having
all kinds of problems in school, and his behavior had become extremely
difficult.-- more

7, 2004 - Miguel* lives with his mom and younger brother in
a dilapidated apartment about 2 blocks from our office in Red
Bank. He has little contact with his father who lives in Florida,
but he passionately loves his mother who has been chronically
ill for the past several years -- more

2004 - I know we're not supposed
to have "favorite kids," but Shanaya* is definitely one of our
favorites. She's one of the first girls to attend our
program in Long Branch back in 1991, and she's participated in
nearly every activity and program we have -- more

wrote to you about a young man named Eric*. He's one of our favorite kids, and he lives
in Asbury Park in one of the worst situations you can imagine -- more

during basketball practice for our teens, Doug Eagles (Aslan's
Rec Director) noticed that Marquis*, one of our newer players
to the team, had walked up on the gym stage to talk to a "friend"
who walked in off the street. --
