Dear Friend:

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, most of the message that I want to communicate to you will be in pictures.  I want to begin by thanking you, once again, for all your prayers and your financial support this past year.  Although our immediate need is not quite as dire as last Christmas, I will not hide from you the fact that our donations (in particular our donations from individuals) have been down again this year.  Through November of this year, we are currently $50,000.00 below our budgeted needs.

I know that every time you write a check to Aslan you are doing so out of the goodness of your hearts.  It is truly a choice on your parts.  Maybe it’s the season of the year or maybe I’m just feeling particularly thankful at the moment . . . I simply cannot find adequate words to express how appreciative we are that you consider the mission of Aslan Youth Ministries worthy of your financial support.

Aslan is still changing the world . . . one child at a time!

 

As you look at these smiling faces, remember that these are children who are smiling through (or in spite of) their adversity.  Most of all, they’re smiling because they’re with Aslan.  They know that they are in a safe place where they will receive unconditional love.  That is precisely what Aslan is all about – God’s Love.      

As we approach this wonderful time of celebrating Christ’s birth, please remember the children of Aslan.  Consider taking this moment to give a generous gift in the enclosed envelope to insure that we can continue shining God’s Love into the lives of so many children in need.  If everyone who receives this letter responds to this special appeal and gives $100.00, we will end this year and begin the next one on budget!  Perhaps you can give more, or perhaps less.  Whatever you can give will be appreciated.  Without you there would be no help for the hundreds of children we serve.  Thanks, again, from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers and support.  And, Merry Christmas . . . may God bless us everyone!
